Choosing your Civil Marriage Celebrant

Congratulations! You have found that one magical person in your life who you wish to marry
….and now you have a wedding to plan.
The most important part of your wedding is the marriage ceremony which then sets the scene
for your entire wedding celebration.
For a meaningful and personal ceremony you will need to choose your Marriage Celebrant wisely.
Sue and Glenda, are “Celebrants Of Choice” and we believe that there are two things to look for when deciding who you want to conduct your marriage ceremony.
**** Choose a celebrant with whom you feel very comfortable;

one who you can talk with easily; |

one who you can ask any question (even if you think it may sound a strange question…remember that there is an answer for every question!); |

one who will give you lots of time, by ‘phone or email or fax; |
|
a celebrant who you feel will care about you and your ceremony; |
|
a celebrant who will help you to enjoy the process of planning for your ceremony as much as helping you to enjoy the day. |

Choices include:

a personal ceremony about you as a couple. |

your own Askings |
|
your own marriage Vows. |

your own wording for exchanging wedding rings. |

your own selection of readings, music, style of your ceremony (that is, ribbon ceremonies or candle-lighting, or any other symbolism.) |
Also ask your celebrant:

if you can be given guidance and help in composing your Vows etc. |

to explain all of the legal requirements for your marriage. |

if you can have a rehearsal of your ceremony before your wedding day. |

if your celebrant provides a Public Address system. |

Each of us, always invite couples to meet with us, no obligation, so we can talk further about your wishes for your special day and how we can give you the marriage ceremony of your choice.
When you first meet with us, we talk about what happens between then and your wedding day…how many times we meet, how much help we can give you…where you have a rehearsal…what are the legal requirements so that your marriage is legally registered…what else you should know.
We want you to enjoy all of the planning for this most important day in your lives as well as the friendship that will naturally follow between us all.
